VoiceHue reads Chinese (Mandarin) text aloud for free in your browser, up to 3,000 characters at a time, with no account. Chinese playback uses the Mandarin voices that your device and browser provide.
Free text to speech: paste up to 3,000 characters, pick a voice and listen in your browser. The voices load in a moment.
Paste your Chinese text into the box on the VoiceHue homepage, choose a Mandarin voice from the list and press play.
Both Simplified and Traditional characters are read.
There is nothing to install and no sign-up.
If the voice list is short, switch to Chrome, Edge or Safari on a recent device; most of them ship with at least one Mandarin voice.
Each conversion accepts up to 3,000 characters. Chinese is read at roughly 250 characters per minute, so a full box is about 12 minutes of speech. For longer scripts, split the text at paragraph breaks and convert the parts one by one so the pacing stays natural.
Cloud voices are live: they play in the browser and download as MP3, free within the daily limits. The voices of your device also work for listening. A free developer API is available on the developers page, and one-time credit packs are planned, with no date yet (see pricing). Generating Chinese audio on your device is not available.
Use full-width punctuation so the voice pauses where you expect. Write numbers the way you want them read, for example spell out a year if the voice reads it as a quantity. Keep sentences short, and put names or foreign words in their own sentence to check the pronunciation before you use a longer script.
Chinese voices are supplied by Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or the browser itself, so the same text can sound different on each. If you need a consistent result for a presentation, preview it on the device you will present from, and keep your sentences simple so any Mandarin voice can read them clearly.
If you also publish in English or Spanish, those languages can be generated on your device, which gives the same voice on every computer once it is downloaded. Chinese does not have that option yet, so treat the Chinese preview as a way to check wording and rhythm rather than as a final recording.
